The word from Minnesota law enforcement officials is that, overall, drivers seem to be adjusting to not having a phone in their hand. Yet you had to figure that not everybody would not get the message about, or comply with, the new “Hands Free Law”. On Thursday, the same day that the new phone law went into effect, an Eagan police officer pulled over a driver who was using a phone to text a friend about the new “Hands Free Law”. As the Eagan Police Department put it, “You can’t make this up.”
