On Tuesday, August 16th, at approximately 7:46 pm the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a UTV rollover in Holmes City. The callers indicated they were driving by and saw the UTV in the ditch rolled over and determined a person was trapped underneath of it. The callers were able to roll it off the individual and began life saving measures. It was determined a short time later that Jennifer Lynn Craig, Age 39, of Alexandria,  was deceased. Initial investigation indicates the UTV was southbound on Wild Rose Lane when it left the roadway entering the ditch and rolling over. Douglas County Deputies were assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, North Ambulance, Holmes City First Responders, and the Alexandria Fire Department. This incident remains under investigation.
