
On Thursday Dec 2nd just before 8pm there was a crash involving two vehicles at 13300 Co Rd 17 SE. A female was unconscious when law enforcement responded. A vehicle was stalled in the northbound lane after it’s trailer had become detached. A Ford Explorer, driven by Paul Carlsen age 66 of Forada, was northbound on Co Rd 17 approaching the stalled motorist. A Chevy S-10, driven by Samantha Jacobs age 22 of Alexandria, was southbound on Co Rd 17 also approaching the stalled motorist. As the Explorer pulled out to pass the truck and trailer, the Explorer and S-10 collided resulting in a head on collision. Samantha was transported to Alomere Health ER by Ambulance for suspected serious injuries and was later discharged. Samantha’s passenger, Dylin Baker age 25 of Alexandria, had no suspected injuries.
