The Radiothon to End Child Abuse is an annual 24-hour awareness and fundraising broadcast on Cool 94.3 and KIK-FM. The Radiothon started in 1987 and has grown to include Hubbard Broadcasting stations located in Alexandria, Bemidji, Brainerd, and Wadena. This year’s event marks the event’s 33rd year of bringing communities together to act on behalf of children and families in deep and substantial ways. Funds raised benefit local county initiatives and statewide programs that keep families strong and safe. Counties participating in the Alexandria Radiothon include: Douglas County Child Abuse Prevention Council, Grant County Child & Youth Council, and Todd County PEACE Council.
