An 18-year-old driver has been killed in a crash on Sunday, July 3rd, afternoon in Stevens County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Payton Larson, 18, of Herman, was driving a Dodge Dart northbound on Highway 9 in Donnelly Township when he left the road and the vehicle rolled. Larson reportedly died at the scene.

Authorities say alcohol was a factor in the crash and Larson was not wearing a seat belt. The incident remains under investigation.
