An 18 year old in Brooklyn Park died in a firework related accident early Monday Morning, July 4th. Police were notified that a firework had exploded in someone’s face. The man had severe wounds to his hands and face. A friend was performing CPR when authorities arrived and the teen was transported to North Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Authorities are warning others to be safe around fireworks. Over 15,000 of ER visits around the holiday were firework related this year, a 50% increase from last year.
