State Patrol Investigates 2 Serious Crashes, 1 fatal, on I-94 near Albany

An International Grain Hauler was traveling westbound on I-94 when it veered off of the roadway and crossed the median. The grain hauler then entered the eastbound lanes where it struck a car and a truck.

A second crash happened in the east bound lane  just one hour later when a Kenworth straight truck slowed for backed up traffic and was rear ended by a GMC Yukon. The driver of the Yukon, 38 year old Kelli Ann Goebel of Freeport, was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The truck driver, 26 year old Mert Gokce of Burnsville received non-life threatening injuries.

No other details of the crashes have been released at this time. Both are under investigation with the Minnesota State Patrol.
