Sam Hunt Gets New May 19 Court Date for DUI Case Thanks to Coronavirus

Sam Hunt’s found the silver lining in the coronavirus pandemic. According to Nash Country Daily, the singer’s latest court date in his DUI case has been postponed thanks to Tennessee’s new limitations on in-person court proceedings through the end of March. The hearing, which was supposed to take place in a Nashville courthouse on Tuesday, has now been rescheduled for May 19. The 35-year-old was arrested in the wee hours of November 21 after cops were notified that a driver was traveling the wrong way on a Nashville road. He was later charged with misdemeanors for driving under the influence and having an open container.
