Redskins QB Misses Final Snap of Game Because He Was Taking Selfie With Fan

Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. got so excited about his first NFL victory as a starter that he missed the last snap of his team’s game on Sunday–because he was taking a selfie with a fan. “I was so hyped, I broke a water bottle,” Haskins told ESPN. “I look up and we’re in victory [formation]. I thought the game was over with already, but I’ll get it next time.” Redskins interim coach Bill Callahan said after the game that he doesn’t “laugh at” Haskins’ error, but added, “I’m happy we won. We’ll address that. I’m just pleased we won the game.” Former Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann wasn’t quite so charitable, tweeting that it was “unprofessional and wrong” for Haskins to miss the last snap for a selfie. The fan who got the pic with Haskins responded to that tweet by sharing the selfie along with the comment, “OK BOOMER.” The Redskins beat the Detroit Lions, 19-16, after completing a 39-yard field goal with 16 seconds left in the game.
