A woman was hit in a crosswalk near Roer’s Bakery in Alexandria, Saturday October 15th. According to her Facebook post, she sustained injuries to her T11 vertebrae near her ribs, and a broken nose, as well as blood loss. She is grateful for those who stopped and helped her. She was aided by two nurses on site that were off duty until other emergency help arrived. 

She was “15 feet from the point of impact”, and her shoes were reportedly an additional “five feet farther” than where she landed.

The accident remains under investigation, no details have been released at this time about the driver or possible charges.
