The Minnesota State Patrol says one person is dead after being struck by a car along I-94 in Douglas County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident took place late Thursday night in Hudson Township near Alexandria. Officials say an International Semi was traveling along I-94 when it struck the pedestrian, Carl J. Van Dera, 73, of De Pere, Wisconsin.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
