The Osakis Community mourns the loss of a coach and teacher who was described as a selfless friend and family man. Kyle Imdieke, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on May 6th. The cause of death has not been released. He’s survived by his three sons — Logan and Luke are recent graduates from Osakis, and Drew is a freshman in high school. Kyle, his children and their friends and family endured the heartbreak of losing his wife, Dayni, in 2016. Dayni died at the age of 42 after a five-year battle with a rare form of pancreatic cancer. . A memorial service will be held at 11 am Thursday May 13th at the Silverstreak’s Football field.
Spirit Life Church is asking for community support to help the family during this tragic time. They wrote in a Facebook post,
“Sometimes when loss happens it is all too difficult to comprehend. The deep sadness leaves us with a feeling of wanting and knowing we must do something to demonstrate our love and care. Kyle Imdieke passed away suddenly on May 6th, 2021. He was a beloved teacher and coach at Osakis High School. But more than that he was a father to three boys who lost their mother only a few short years ago. If you are able to give financially, we are giving an offering to Kyle’s sister that is for Kyle’s three boys Logan, Luke, and Drew. We are starting the giving with $1,000 from our church local missions funds. If you click on the link below there is a tab that says tithe, it’s a drop down where you can choose Imdieke Family. Please keep this dear family in your prayers. We know that God is near the broken-hearted and pray that He comforts them in a way only He can. https://spiritlife.churchcenter.com/giving”
