More than $100,000 raised for Boesl families, joint funeral service set

A joint funeral service will be held for the three Boesl family members who died in a farm accident last week in Millerville.

A father, 47-year-old Curt Boesl and his 11-year-old son, Alex were working in the top of the silo when they were overcome by fumes. Curt’s brother, 49-year-old Steve Boesl came to the farm to help, but breathed in the fumes as well.

According to their obituaries, a joint visitation for all three family members will be held Monday at Our Lady of Seven Dolors, 16921 County Road 7 NW in Millerville. Curt and Alex’s visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A prayer service will follow at 2 p.m. Steve’s visitation will be will be from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Then, a second visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Seven Dolors, followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. The burial will be at the church cemetery.

The page also says, in Lieu of flowers, the family would like trees to plant in memory of the boys.

More than $100,000 has been raised on the GoFundMe page, which will be split between the two families.
