The Minnesota Vikings had the weekend off after a Thursday game, but the mini-break didn’t prove to be all rest and relaxation. The mood for coach Mike Zimmer turned sour when he learned of a late-night arrest of one of his players, Jayron Kearse. The backup free safety and special teams captain was charged with drunken driving and carrying a gun without a permit, after a state trooper stopped him traveling on a closed section of interstate. Zimmer said he was “very, very ticked off” at Kearse. The Vikings are at the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at noon. All the action on KIK-FM.
