Millerville 11-year-old hospitalized in farming accident dies

11-year-old Alex Boesl was injured in a farming accident near Millerville just days before Christmas. He and his father, Curt were working on their silo when they breathed in fumes. Curt’s brother, Steve was called to the farm to help save them. Curt and Steve both passed away, and Alex was rushed to hospital to fight for his life.

Alex’s death was announced on a CaringBridge site, Thursday:

“Although a miracle didn’t happen here for us, eternal life in the House of God is the most beautiful of all miracles. Pray for Alex’s family, as we prepare to say goodbye to our sweet boy. Through our faith, we have no doubt that Alex will be united with his dad in Heaven, as Curt waits for him with arms wide open.”

The post also states that Alex will become an organ donor.

“As others wait for a miracle, Alex’s heart of gold would want them to receive it. Alex’s Christmas miracle is giving life to others. His giving legacy will live on.”

Nearly $50,000 has been raised on the GoFundMe page, which will be split between the two families.

Alex's family wrote today:“God promises to make something good out of the storms that bring devastation to your life.”…
