Many states and likewise schools are ditching the masks based on low hospital admissions and larger hospital capacity. The news followed steep declines in statewide Covid-19 hospitalizations and new guidance Friday from the CDC indicating healthy Americans in many counties don’t need to wear masks indoors anymore. New York City is lifting it’s proof of vaccination for indoor venues March 7th. The Transportation Security Administration’s mask mandate for airports, commercial airplanes, public buses and passenger trains is set to expire March 18. The CDC says that mask mandates on school buses have expired.
