The Alexandria Police Department released details from an incident earlier this week that put the community in great risk. On July 10th they reportedly initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle going 70 mph in a 30. The chase disbanded when it became unsafe. They found the vehicle abandoned at the 500 block of Spruce Street. Shortly after 10pm they were able to apprehend 27 year old Tristan Affedlt. He is being held at the Douglas County Jail pending charges after driving without cancellation, inimical to public safety and fleeing police officers along with 4 other charges.
