Loons were falling from the sky as they migrated over Wisconsin. The ice storms froze their wings causing them to crash. Wildlife Refuge experts say if you find a loon to call them immediately. Do not put them in small ponds or they might die. Loons need a quarter to a half mile long body of water to be able to fly and get up in the air.
The Raptor Education Group says it has gotten a lot of calls over the past few days from people seeing a lot of loons on land and small ponds.
