Twenty years have passed since the largest terrorist attack on our nation, and it feels like it was yesterday. Thank you to our listeners for sharing where you were that fateful day, the day the world stood still. We will be at the Veterans Memorial Park today meeting and thanking heroes with a free lunch thanks to Lakes Country Meats, Pope Douglas Solid Waste Management, the City of Alexandria, and a big thank you to Glenwood State Bank and Pay it Forward Friday for the first $100 donations. All FREE WILL donations will go to support LIFE GR and We Got Your Back USA. They support our military, veterans and first responders who serve diligently to protect our community. THANK YOU!
This morning we shared a humbled poem, author unknown, that is simple but puts into great perspective the value of life and what was taken on September 11th, 2001. Listen below!
We also spoke with Jesse who is standing today in Arlington National Cemetery after walking 454 miles. He started 30 days ago at Ground Zero in New York, stopped by the Flight 93 crash site memorial in Pennsylvania, and ended at the Pentagon. He was at the Pentagon while serving with US Army 3rd Infantry, and describes the intense and heartbreaking details of that day. God bless all of those impacted by that fateful day. And remember how our country came together, facing evil with love. Love will always win as long as we don’t forget the preciousness of life. Never forget.
