
A local non profit is pushing MnDOT to change a stretch of I-94. They might even remove it all together. The Twin Cities Boulevard Petition is getting signatures to fill in the 7.5 mile stretch between Minneapolis and St. Paul and turn it into a more traditional boulevard, connecting cars straight to traffic and including pedestrians, bikes and public transit. This would impact over 160,000 commuters. MNDOT acknowledged the interstate built back in 1960 basically went right through people’s living rooms in that area. See the difference below:
