Henry’s Foods in Alexandria has been sold to Amcon Distributing Co. Henry’s is the largest c-store supplier in Minnesota. 

Kellie Janssen, Henry’s president, will remain in her role. She states that the Henry’s business and name will continue in the marketplace, and the business will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Amcon. Janssen said the deal will enable adding increased capabilities for Henry’s customers.

“We warmly welcome all the Henry’s associates, customers and vendors to the expanding Amcon family of brands,” Christopher Atayan, Amcon chairman and CEO, said in the press release.

The transaction is expected to close in the company’s second quarter of fiscal 2023, subject to customary closing conditions.

Amcon is a wholesale distributor of consumer products including beverages, candy, tobacco, groceries, foodservice, frozen and refrigerated foods and more.
