Pope County issued a scam alert. An unknown person is impersonating a former Pope County Senior Coordinator, Dodie Johnsrud. The fake messages are circulating on Facebook asking the victims to sign up for Government Help Funds Programs to immediately collect $50,000. If you’ve received a message like this, contact the sheriff’s office or Public Health to verify legitimacy. Do not give out personal information to strangers online.
