A couple from Pillager were found deceased, launching an investigation.  The bodies were found after a welfare check on June 26th, 2023. The victims have been identified as 63-year-old Vickie O’Brien and 64-year-old Terrance O’Brien. It was confirmed by Cass County Sheriff’s Office that Vickie died by shotgun wound and then Terrance of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The couple owned and operated a non profit petting zoo in Alexandria known as Santa’s Land from 1998-2008.
