Wildlife officials in Fort Myers, Florida, came up with a clever way to trap a black bear that had been rummaging though the city: donuts, the AP reports. Florida Fish and Wildlife Officer Adam Brown said the juvenile bear spent a good amount of time in the city Tuesday, but that trying to tranquilize it in the congested urban area wasn’t an option. “When we use a tranquilizer the bear sometimes will run away, and we didn’t want to take any chance of it running into traffic or the residential area,” he said. Instead officials used doughnuts from Krispy Kreme and some blueberry pie-scented spray to lure it into a humane trap. The bear took the bait and was relocated to a state-managed wildlife area.
