By order of Governor Tim Walz, all state and federal flags across Minnesota to be flown at half-staff today in honor of a pilot killed in a helicopter crash. Pilot Timothy McDonald was killed while on-duty when the helicopter he was in crashed on June 28 at Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport. McDonald worked as a pilot for North Memorial Health Air Care for the past four years, and previously served in the Army as an aviation Warrant Officer and as a paramedic for North Memorial. He leaves behind a wife, four children and his parents.
