Fatal ATV Crash

On Sunday 09/19/21 at approximately 7:56 PM the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a personal injury crash involving a vehicle. The call was reporting a single ATV had rolled over. The driver was 48 year old Todd Gary Mrnak of Miltona was injured and unconscious. Life saving efforts were immediately initiated. North Memorial Ambulance, Parker’s Prairie Ambulance, and Miltona First Responders were immediately dispatched. Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and Mrnak was pronounced deceased at the scene. Initial investigation and preliminary evidence on scene suggests that the small ATV driven by Mrnak was eastbound and had attempted to make a right hand turn into a field approach. The ATV overturned and Mrnak was thrown from the vehicle. Mrnak was the sole occupant of the ATV. He was not wearing a helmet. The crash remains under investigation.
