United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties Traveling Tree House Program runs through Thursday, August 19th:

Mondays:

  • 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Osakis Osagi Park
  • 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. at Noonan’s Park

Tuesdays:

  • 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at Garfield Park-A-While Gardens
  • 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fillmore Park
  • 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church Parking lot

Wednesdays:

  • 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at Alexandria City Park
  • 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Carlos City Park
  • 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. at Miltona Elementary School

Thursdays:

  • 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at Evansville Park
  • 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Brandon Lion’s Park

The Traveling Tree House is a mobile learning center that provides FREE summer learning opportunities for local children. At each visit kids experience 75 minutes of reading, crafts and activities. A snack and gently use book of the choice is sent home with them to keep after each visit.

Program Details: The 2021 program will take place in person. They will be closely following MDH and CDC guidelines to ensure a safe program.

  • The Tree House stops at 10 dseignated locations within Douglas County
  • Program lasts for 10 weeks and is designed for children ages 4 to 11
  • Cancellations due to weather are posted on their Facebook page
  • Program is overseen by United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties
