The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division and Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry have updates to share on the required workplace provisions for nursing mothers under state and federal laws, including recent significant changes in Minnesota. Learn more at the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s virtual Listen & Learn event on Thursday, October 7 at 10 am.
In this session, you will hear from Corey Walton, Community Outreach and Resource Planning Specialist for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage & Hour Minneapolis District Office, Dave Skovholt, Outreach Coordinator for the Labor Standards and Apprenticeship Division, Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry and Cherylee Sherry, Healthy Systems Supervisor, Office of Statewide Health Improvement Initiatives, MN Dept. of Health. They will walk attendees through required break time and workplace accommodations that must be in place for all employers covered by the provisions. Q & A session included!
