Learn about American flag etiquette and guidelines at upcoming Listen & Learn
June 8 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
The American flag has flown as our national emblem since 1777. It is a source of pride and unity for all Americans and embodies the very qualities that make our nation great: liberty, justice, freedom, love of country and national purpose. However, the flag is often treated disrespectfully. In 1942, Congress passed a resolution now known as the U.S. Flag Code.
Join Allan Gerlach, Commander & Owen Miller, Adjunct, both with American Legion Post #87 to learn the basics of proper flag etiquette and ensure that all flags fly respectfully throughout our community at the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s virtual Listen & Learn event on Tuesday, June 8 from 12 – 1 pm.
The event is open to everyone and is free of charge. Register by visiting the Alexandria Chamber website at alexandriamn.org and look for the registration link on the main page. Listen & Learn is a one-hour informative virtual event hosted by the Alexandria Chamber. These sessions offer information, education, support, and resources on topics that impact the community and its diverse business and organizational partners. For more information, call the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce at 320-763-3161 or email email@example.com.
