The DECA students from Alexandria are heading to Internationals in Atlanta, Georgia this week. This follows an impressive first place finish at State competition last month.
They will pitch their project, “Pride of the Lakes” campaign in front of the judges. Their community service campaign will be up against hundreds of others, all vying for the DECA Glass Award!
Kris & Chelsea spoke with teammates (all sophomores at Alexandria Area High School) Emily Barten, Madeline Boe and Zach Frederikson as they gear up this week. They are passionate about supporting local business, furthering their marketing campaign and making a difference.
KIK-FM is a proud sponsor of their team, along with other local businesses to help send their whole team to the competition. The Alexandria DECA chapter has 40 students that are qualified. Best of luck Alexandria DECA!
