CRASH INJURES TWO

On 10/07/21 at approximately 2:16 P.M., the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a
motor vehicle crash located east of the intersection of Co Rd 3 and Co Rd 73. Information indicated
that a single vehicle crash had occurred, and two occupants were injured.

Initial investigation indicates that a full-size pickup was eastbound on Co Rd 73 when it left the
roadway. The vehicle struck an embankment and overturned coming to rest on its side.

The female passenger was assisted in exiting the vehicle by first responders and Deputies who had
arrived on scene. She was transported to Alomere Hospital by North Memorial Ambulance and later
flown to St. Cloud Hospital by Lifelink III due to her injuries. Her condition is currently unknown.

The driver was mechanically extricated by the Osakis Fire Department. Due to the driver’s injuries,
he was flown directly from the scene by Lifelink III to St. Cloud. His condition is currently unknown.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Names are withheld pending notification of
family.
