A 17-year-old driver was injured when his vehicle hit another vehicle on Highway 29 in Douglas County on Friday, June 11.
The teen from Carlos, who was not named in the Minnesota State Patrol report, was taken to Alomere Health for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.
The teen was driving a 1999 Pontiac Firebird south on Highway 29 when the car hit a 2020 Ford Edge driven by Denelle Wicht, 69, of Alexandria. Wicht, who was not injured, was attempting to make a left turn at Maple Way south of Carlos. The Pontiac struck the Ford and then went into the ditch and struck a wooden fence.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts; alcohol was not involved.
