The Minnesota Department of Education is now allowing Alexandria Public Schools to offer and deliver breakfast and lunch meals FREE to ALL students, regardless of meal benefit status.

Here is the information from the district:
Alexandria Food & Nutrition Services has FREE breakfast and lunch available to
ANY students grades K-12! We will even deliver it to you at no cost!
WHAT IS IN IT?
Breakfast will include juice, milk, fruit, and a breakfast entrée
Lunch will include fruit/and or juice, milk, fresh veggies, chips and a cold lunch entrée
WHAT IS THE COST?
NO COST! Breakfast and lunch are free to all students regardless if they qualify for meal benefits or
WHEN AND WHERE?
Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 19- Meal Pick Up
-Both lunch and breakfast (for the next day) will be available for pick up from 11:00am-1:00pm at the
-Alexandria Area High School South Entrance
-Woodland Elementary School East Entrance
-Garfield Elementary School Main Entrance
-Miltona Elementary School Door 2
-Carlos Elementary School Main Entrance
Tuesday, March 24 through Friday, March 27- Meal Delivery
-You can sign up for meals to be delivered to your student’s bus stop location. If your student does
not ride the bus, you can still sign up for delivered meals to a location either at or very near your
home. A survey was distributed March 16, however we recently learned from the Minnesota
Department of Education (MDE) that all students can eat for free so we will be resending the survey
for you to sign up if you did not do so originally. Please check your email for the survey. Delivered
meals will begin March 24th. We will also have pick up meals available at Woodland Elementary if
you prefer to pick up. Please contact the Food and Nutrition Services Office at 320-762-3315 if you
have any questions.
*If you have a New Testament or Zion student, you can pick up meals at Woodland Elementary
Wed., March 18 through Friday, March 27.
