The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has issued air quality alerts starting  at 6 p.m. Tuesday, and a second at noon on Wednesday. The wildfire smoke is expected to linger across much of the state through Thursday, too, but decrease enough in the morning to not warrant an alert. The air quality will impact sensitive groups of older age, young children and if they have existing respiratory issues.
