The Pope County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who kidnapped a child and triggered an amber alert on March 17th, 2022. The 2 year old was abducted by Victor Ramirez, 22,  from Big Lake and found 9 hours later in a garage in Paynesville. The child was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for evaluation and is currently in the custody of his mother. 

The kidnapping is still under investigation.
