For 74 years, the Jingle Bells Telethon in Alexandria has raised money to help those in need during the holiday season.   This years Telethon was live on Saturday night, December 10th, from 5-10 pm. Generous businesses, local organizations, families and individuals donated throughout the night… and together they raised over $100,000!

The funds are used to buy toys and food baskets which are delivered the following day. In recent years, the Jingle Bells Foundation has established grants for families with emergency needs that can be applied for.

A record number of volunteers showed up to help plan the show, perform in the show and then deliver baskets.   The show includes dozens of acts including local bands, children choirs, dance acts,  singing Santa’s, Christmas Carolers,  and family bands. Acts travel across the state to participate and share their gifts to support the message of community, and goodwill towards our neighbors!

The live event was viewed on over 6 different channels and streamed online at jinglebellsalexandria.org and watched all across the country. Over 34 acts from across the state shared their talents! The video is still there to watch if you missed it!
