Governor Walz was in Alexandria yesterday around 2:30 pm. He toured the damage from the storms and tornadoes last Thursday, May 12th. Winds reached up to 100 mph in some areas and wiped out houses, docks, and trees.
He posted this picture below in neighboring town, Benson, where more buildings were crushed. Between the flooding and the tornadoes, there’s a lot of devastation. The governor says FEMA will be looking at 49 counties for possible disaster assistance.
